A small-town grifter with a winning smile and a “wannabe” girlfriend arrives in Hollywood prepared to take the town for all its worth.
Danny Mars is a fast-talking charmer who longs for something more, and upon crossing paths with middle-aged janitor Joe Schmolensky the ambitious Hollywood newcomer senses that something great is on the horizon. Joe is an obsessive movie buff with a knack for celebrity impressions, and though the humble maintenance man isn’t too sure about his newfound friend the pair soon embark on a series of misadventures that will turn Tinsel Town upside down. Gree runs rampant and colorful characters are around every corner as Danny and Joe contend with power hungry television executives, success-driven Hollywood agents, sleazy porn directors, fearsome Russian gangsters, and one truly determined debt collector.
