Satirical comedy follows the machinations of Big Tobacco’s chief spokesman, Nick Naylor, who spins on behalf of cigarettes while trying to remain a role model for his twelve-year-old son.

Nick is viewed by some as Satan himself – able to counter any argument against his employers, “Big Tobacco”, with a smart-alecky retort or an ingenious spin. Times are changing however, and the corporations feel that tobacco PR machine is finished. Nick finds his career hanging in the balance.
Nick’s superb touches – including charming the pants off an entire audience in a smoking debate on the Oprah Winfrey show; or speaking at a “what do you do” day in front of his son’s classroom; or even negotiating cigarette product placement and smoking techniques in a big budget studio movie – makes this a comedy for anyone who dares to speak out against political correctness.
