Two internal affairs detectives are sent into the Düsseldorf LKA to prove what no one wants to admit: that a narcotics squad has been helping itself to seized cocaine and cash.
Newly arrived Joseph Kanjaa and Clarissa Jakobs know the loot from a botched drug bust has vanished into officers’ pockets, but without evidence they have to catch the corrupt trio around unit boss Stefan Krohn in the act. Their only chance is Timo Viatov, a young cop in Krohn’s team who owes his life to his superior and wants nothing to do with “ratting” on colleagues, yet realises that staying loyal means becoming complicit.
As Joseph offers Timo a place in Internal Affairs in exchange for his cooperation, the pressure mounts on both sides: the crooked officers scramble for one last big score after discovering their last haul is marked and worthless, while Timo risks his career and life to spring the trap from within.
