The owner of a 1930s nightclub loses control of his life amid love triangles and too much debt.
In a stylized 1930s fantasy city, wealthy playboy Chaz Davenport runs a blues nightclub called The Tower, hoping to turn it into the hottest spot in town despite constant citywide blackouts and heavy debts to a dangerous loan shark. Still reeling from his power‑magnate father’s apparent suicide, Chaz becomes entangled in a love triangle between his loyal star singer Crystal and a mysterious new chanteuse, Madelaine, who may have her own agenda. As friends and associates around him start turning up dead, Chaz investigates his father’s death and the corruption behind the failing power grid, only to be drawn into a web of betrayal that threatens his club, his life, and his illusions about the people closest to him.
