Teenager Alva traverses friendship and love in a secluded village deep in a mystical forest as the line between reality and fantasy begins to fade.

16-year-old Alva thinks she is somehow different and sometimes doesn’t fit into this world at all. After moving with her father to the village surrounded by forest, Alva finds it difficult to start over. Not only because everyone knows everyone, but also because strange stories are circulating about Alva’s missing uncle Jonathan. Fortunately, Alva meets Esma and a tender friendship develops. Unlike Alva, Esma is not interested in what others think of her. And Alva’s hope begins to grow. Could she still be happy, leave her difficult past in the big city behind and actually be loved? If it weren’t for the forest, which seems to be calling Alva. She observes a glow between the trees, strange mushrooms and a dark shadow that scares her. What does the forest want from Alva?

“Feelings” uses an innovative multi-platform distribution to pick up the core target group, teenagers and young adults between the ages of 14 and 20, in their usual media environment. The episodes are not only on ARD/ZDF streaming service, but the primary release takes place on YouTube and an additional content is on three TikTok channels. The “Feelings” account features teasers, excerpts and additional content as well as exclusive insights into the characters’ innermost thoughts. In addition, there are two character accounts for Alva and Esma, which reveal the interests and feelings of both main characters and pick up on events from the storyworld. This enables an intimate engagement with the emotional world of the series in everyday life.
