Ella was supposed to take over the business, but when her fiancé died in a climbing accident, she left her homeland behind.

Ella Morgan and her fiancé Jacob had hoped to be next in line to run Trelawny, England’s only tea plantation. But Ella has become withdrawn since Jacob’s death in a climbing accident. Feeling overwhelmed by the work, Ella’s father now wants to lease the plantation to someone else. With a heavy heart, Ella’s mother Jane, whose family has owned Trelawny for the past century, agrees with him. The plantation is about to be turned over to foreman Joe Jones, Jane’s right hand man. In Joe’s family, however, there are rumors that the Morgan family came into possession of Trelawny illegally…
