After getting a call on her cell phone, Stralsund Chief Inspector Susanne Winkler rushes out to an office building across town and enters it. Not a soul is to be seen. Suspicious, she reaches for her phone – and suddenly feels the cold steel of a pistol on her neck. A masked person ties her hands behind her back and takes her into an office, where about five employees are also bound and chained. The hostage-taker seems to be alone, and extremely nervous.
