An East Berlin family ripped apart by the turmoil leading to the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
East Berlin, 1988. After getting into trouble, Marco only avoids jail thanks to his father, a high-ranking Stasi officer. However, he must accept his father’s stipulation that he join the army. Surprisingly, he enjoys military service, especially with the GDR threatened by a tide of revolt. While his father is worried about his future, Marco’s mother and girlfriend actively campaign for freedom. Soon it is 9 November 1989, and the Wall comes down, changing their lives forever…
