Three different soldiers – a woman and two men – return from war and facing the peaceful life’s problems of each other.
Three soldiers are returning from Iraq but their plans are derailed when an airport blackout forces them to share a car on a cross-country journey through the United States. As they head toward their separate destinations, each is quietly confronting the emotional and physical aftermath of war: one hopes to reunite with his family, another is searching for a way to cope with a life-changing injury, and the third is determined to fulfill a personal promise to the family of a fallen loved one. What begins as a practical ride gradually becomes an unexpected bond between strangers who discover that home is no longer what they imagined.
