The story full of emotional turmoil that will in the end remind everybody: love is the best therapy.
Pauline, an interior designer, is an only child who continues to have problems with her domineering mother Eve. When Pauline discovers her husband Ken is cheating on her, she plunges into a state of crisis, so she turns to therapy. In the waiting room, she encounters Eric, of all people, who is married to Dana, the woman her husband is having an affair with. The situation is strange for Pauline and Eric, but their shared destiny forges a bond between them.
Meanwhile, Pauline’s psychotherapist, Bernard, meets and falls in love with her mother, Eve — without realizing that the two women are related. Pauline and Eve have long had a tense relationship. But since the family’s porcelain factory — where Ken also works — has started running at a loss, the tension between them has only grown. The future of the traditional business is at stake. Eve and Ken have very different ideas about how to save the company, but both need Pauline’s consent for their plans. Pauline feels betrayed by both, especially after learning about Eve’s affair with her therapist.
Eric, too, must confront a disturbing revelation: his wife Dana is pregnant — and cannot say for certain whether he or her lover, Ken, is the father.
