Mia wants to take over the management of the family-run museum. But a young man challenges her for the job. Both have to face an adventurous recruitment test in an abandoned 15th century house.

Curator Mia Barlow practically grew up in the museum from the time director Trevor Murphy and his wife Hannah, the museum’s conservator, took her in as a foster child. When Hannah becomes seriously ill and Trevor has to care for her, Mia is determined to fill his shoes at the museum. But she faces several obstacles, as the museum is no longer profitable and is supposed to be closed for good. Moreover, adventurer and treasure hunter Jason Carter challenges her for the directorship when he also applies for the position. However, Mia doesn’t believe him; she is certain that he is an art thief. But then a completely different truth awaits Mia, one that completely turns her preordained life upside down.
