Determined, the life-hungry Grace goes all in. She leaves her fiance to fulfil her life dream. But then, something happens that no one expected.

Grace Kent lives in Cornwall; her father Clive manages the local cinema. Sebastian, her boyfriend, offers her a job at his workshop, but Grace has decided to attend the London School of Film to pursue her dream of becoming a costume designer. Before leaving, she meets her friend Ruby, a fortune teller, who predicts that another man will enter her life.

Five years later, Grace is at a restaurant with her colleague Jason when next to their table cell phone rings. A man answers, claiming to be Robert Hayford—the name Ruby mentioned in her prophecy. Suddenly, Grace cannot breathe, but Robert Hayford helps her regain her breath. He is a doctor and he quickly has to leave for an emergency, but he gives her his business card.

Grace tries to contact Robert, but she learns he has gone back to Cornwall. Deciding to find him, she heads to her hometown in Cornwall.
