During one fateful weekend, the family of brilliant astrophysicist Albert James has a complete meltdown, setting in motion a raucous and hilarious series of events that mirror his radical theories of the behavior of the universe.
Astrophysicist Albert is being courted by a prestigious New York university while his wife, Rita, is being courted by an ethically (and intellectually) impaired old flame. Their kids are dealing with the usual adolescent stuff: dorky Gordon probably shouldn’t have whacked off behind a neighbour’s hedge while he was peering through a bedroom window, and Lauren is learning the hard way to never go pole-vaulting in anger.
