Description

On the U.S.-Mexican border, border cop Jeb Maynard is hunting for a human smuggler responsible for Jeb’s partner’s murder.
The film follows a United States Border Patrol Agent in Charge, Jeb Maynard, who is forced to track down the killers of a young Mexican boy and his colleague and friend, a veteran Senior Patrol Agent, “Scooter” Jackson. Maynard knows that a smuggler of illegal aliens is responsible for Scooter’s death, but the feds insist that drug dealers committed the crime. If this villainous smuggler is going to be caught, Maynard is going to have to do the dirty work himself. Somewhere along a thousand miles of barbed wire border the American dream has become a nightmare.
“This Charles Bronson vehicle tackles a serious subject – the profiteering in illicit Mexican immigration – with workmanlike dramatic skill and a notable preference for realism over hokum.” – Variety
“ALTHOUGH he wears a uniform in ‘Borderline’ Charles Bronson has not altogether abandoned his most effective role as the man who does things his way.” – The New York Times
“There is plenty of tough action in director Jerrold Freedman’s good-enough 1980 crime thriller Borderline.” – derekwinnert.com
