Description

A schoolteacher in the small city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra has a passionate affair with his frigid wife’s sister, despite the risk of having to confront not only his wife, but also his dubious father-in-law.

The story is set in Bolivia in 1980’s. Jonas, is married to Talia, daughter of a wealthy family. Her hypochondria makes her prey to exotic ailments. Patroclus, his father-in-law, wants Jonah to manage the construction of his private mausoleum. Ira, the mother-in-law, controls the family’s destiny… Talia has a teenage sister, Julia, and Jonas feels a strong attraction to her. The two begin a torrid romance in secret, with the dark, damp basement being the place for their antics. Ira discovers their relationship and decides to take care of this…
