Description
Seemingly perfect couple plan a steamy swingers weekend. However things go wrong when a third couple drops in unexpectedly.
Dan and Lisa are a seemingly perfect couple, who decide to spice things up with a swinger’s weekend with their hot and young friends Teejay and Skai in a lake house. However, things start to go awry with the unexpected arrival of Geoffrey and Fiona, which complicates a carefully planned weekend. Each has its own reasons to participate in this weekend. Dan and Lisa want to try for the thrill, Teejay and Skai seem already into the lifestyle, and Geoffrey wants to participate as an extreme way to save his marriage with Fiona. While this is a weekend meant for casual, no-strings-attached sex, things quickly become much more complicated.
“There’s superb dialog between the characters, and the actors dive in with charm, energy and passion.” – Shadows on the Wall
“’A Swingers Weekend’ pushes toward straight drama, and a fantastically acted one too. It’s surprisingly earnest and well scripted, braving a topic uncomfortable for a western audience. First time writer/director Jon E. Cohen crafts a relevant film, outside of studio norms that too often move toward a smooth ending. ’A Swingers Weekend’s’ closing shot leaves things bare. That’s a natural end, without the falsely satisfying clarity of other rom coms.” – DoBlu.com
“It would have been easy for filmmaker to reduce characters to caricatures and play them for broad laughs. But he doesn’t, instead focusing on the squirm-inducing inevitability of the scenario while spotlighting deeper truths. And his ending has a declarative punch, made more powerful by the genuine laughs that proceed it throughout the film.” – Original Cin
