Krystal Parker’s life fell apart when she discovered she couldn’t have children. Everything she knew was gone, – but letting go is just the beginning.
After discovering she cannot have children, Krystal Parker watches her marriage and carefully planned future collapse, leaving her adrift and unsure who she is without the life she imagined. She returns to her hometown in Arkansas to stay with an old friend, where familiar streets and new faces slowly push her to confront her grief, her assumptions about motherhood, and what it really means to build a family. As she forms unexpected connections and is drawn into an adoption story close to those around her, Krystal begins to let go of the life she lost and tentatively embraces a second chance at happiness, learning that starting over can be its own kind of anchor.
