Description

State Criminal Investigation Office investigator Nora Weiss and her colleague Jan Geissler don’t have much time to rest on their laurels after their last successful case.

Having just celebrated the successful completion of a manhunt, two of them are confronted by Bavarian Member of Parliament Monika Landau. Landau is on a family holiday on the Baltic and is trying to find her husband Patrick who went missing while on a boat trip. When the experienced sailor’s body washes up on the beach the next day, Nora and her colleague Simon Brandt from the Lübeck Police Homicide Department start investigating the victim’s past to find out what might have happened to him.

Meanwhile, Nora’s father, Pastor Rainer Weiss, is to receive an award from a human rights organization for helping refugees cross the border during the GDR era. But Nora suddenly has doubts about her father’s credibility.

“Film is an example of how a strong main character can carry a plot. Although she appears on German television quite frequently, Mühe’s acting never becomes monotonous, for she embraces her characters, plays them individually, and develops them from their essence and psychology. This is particularly evident in an inaccessible person like Nora Weiss.” – Tittelbach.tv

“Crime thriller about guilt and betrayal that shows how the scars of German division continue to resonate today. The portrayal of the milieus and their entanglements is gripping.” – TV Today

“Always very cool, Nora Weiss is convincingly played by Anna Maria Muehe.” – Westfaelische Nachrichten
