Description

A homicide detective and an anthropologist try to destroy a South American lizard-like god, who’s on a people eating rampage in a Chicago museum.
A researcher at Chicago’s Natural History Museum sends two crates from South America containing his findings, and when the crates arrive at the museum there appears to be very little inside. However, police discover gruesome murders on the cargo ship that supposedly brought the crates to the U.S. A murder soon takes place in the museum, and while investigating the murder, Lt. Vincent D’Agosta enlists the help of Dr. Margo Green, a researcher, at the museum. She has taken an interest in the contents of her colleague’s crates. Unknown to both there is a large creature roaming the museum which is gearing itself up for a benefit reception which the city’s mayor is to attend.
“A terrific monster movie with an edge. A bloody good time.” – Fantastica Daily
“Entertaining “monster-on-the-loose” picture set mostly in halls and private passageways of Chicago’s Field Museum of Natural History. When the creature catches on fire – and the special effect is truly awesome – the sight will bring out the adolescent in you, as it obviously did with me.” – Gene Siskel, Chicago Tribune
“A most satisfying and often unsettling thriller that makes effective use of lighting and sound design to deliver some jolts. The film is juiced up by thoughtful direction and
artistic ingenuity in some areas.”
– Movie Mavs
