An American couple doing business in Amsterdam, editor Nina and architect James have welcomed another wedding anniversary, turning to role play to spice up their lovemaking. When Nina discovers James’s philandering ways with one of her friends, she’s destroyed, finding herself in a familiar position, only now she’s ready to leave her husband for good. Moving in with a client, Nina teases communication with James, contacting him under a false identity to connect with her womanizing hubby in a fresh way, hearing his anguish over the loss of his marriage.
