Description

A young and disorientated British soldier is accidentally abandoned by his unit..
1971. Private Gary Hook’s training regiment is sent to Belfast, Northern Ireland, to assist the army there. The city is violently divided between sides and faiths; the pro-UK side is predominantly Protestant, and the pro-independence side is predominantly made of Catholics who belong to the IRA. Under Lieutenant Armitage, Gary’s platoon’s first mission is to assist the local constabulary in a search for suspected illegal weapons in the Catholics’ side of town very near the borderline.
When a violent street fight breaks out, Gary is accidentally separated and abandoned by his unit. Unable to tell friend from foe, the new recruit must survive the night alone and find his way to safety through a disorienting, alien and deadly landscape.
